Good with Dogs: YES- he has a little bit of food aggression if another dog comes up while he is eating. But he doesn't care if a person comes up while he is eating. 
Good with cats: YES- does not pay them much attention unless they have wet food. He then smells it and wants to eat their food.
Good with Kids: YES- his foster family has a 5, 8, and 11 year old and he plays very well with them and wants to snuggle with them. He lets them pick him up and play with him. He enjoys waking them up in the morning.

Crate trained: YES- he much prefers to be around people but will go into the crate willingly.

Likes to be on furniture: YES- he is a burrower and like to get under blankets and pillows

General observations: Beau is a beautiful silver-colored dog with a soft coat that appears to shed very little. He is very easygoing when it comes to grooming and has been excellent during baths and nail grinding sessions. Beau is a true people dog and thrives on human companionship. He loves attention and wants to be near his people as much as possible. He enjoys snuggling, curling up in laps, and burrowing under blankets. If he sees someone who looks interested in him, he'll often seek out their attention. For example, when he went to a car dealership, he would whine when people acknowledged him but didn't stop to pet him. He genuinely loves being loved. He has done wonderfully with the children in his foster home and enjoys playing with them. He has also been very respectful of our cat and generally leaves the cat alone. Beau has played exceptionally well with a 6-month-old Great Pyrenees puppy and seems comfortable around other dogs. Barking from other dogs does not appear to bother him. Around the house, Beau is well-mannered and does not try to dart out doors when they are opened. He enjoys playing with stuffed toys and can entertain himself with them. He is food motivated and especially enthusiastic if he smells wet cat food. Beau is affectionate without being overly demanding. He is not a big licker, which some people may appreciate, but he is definitely a cuddler. One thing future adopters should know is that he can be quite a snorer when he sleeps! Overall, Beau is a sweet, affectionate, easygoing dog who loves people, enjoys other animals, and would likely make a wonderful companion for a family or anyone looking for a loyal cuddle buddy.
